Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the music press and bloggers. The singer has recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering the piano in her attic and becoming fascinated with its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather than a profession. In the end, she began to write the music she composed herself. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music in front of the public, but not in order to achieve fame, but rather to let others know how important they are and the good they do for humanity. When she was six, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she began writing her own songs. Her family didn't know until the age of 14. Aurora was not a goal. Aurora claims she loves creating music. For her, the music she writes is how she feels about everything.
