Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the music press and bloggers. The singer has recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering the piano in her attic and becoming fascinated with its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather than a profession.
